Montessori Celebration

Yesterday we had a very special party with eight women of Medinat el Salam. We celebrated 2 years of  very hard work, development and growth of these women who followed the full Montessori course ( children of 3-6 years). All of them succeeded! They passed their tests and finished all their assignments in a good way.

During the celebration they shared with us how this course changed them, and how they discovered that Montessori method – philosophy change their children and their lives!

Congratulations! A new step towards a new generation, who have respect to themselves, the other and the environment,  who can deal independent and take full responsibility for their tasks. We all hope to see more!

The celebration started with a warm welcome from our chairman of the board of trustee, Madam Zohor Bernaba. We were inspired by her talk about how the change really starts from building a balanced child and sharing his journey of growth with him. she talked about the importance and the honor of being a teacher, how special it is, and the effect it has in a child’s life. a beautiful thank you message to all teachers who are working hard on themselves to be a part of the change in a child’s life and in this community.

My experience with the Montessori method  taught me that order is a way of living – and not just doing it for an hour per day.  Therefore I wasn’t just teaching children how to be organised, committed, and calm in class, it became my lifestyle. I applied all I learned in my own home and family.  I became an organised person!

Witnesses

Mastered skills and behaviour the graduates learned during the period of training

  • observing the planes and periods of a child’s growth
  • recognising the needs of the child in each phase
  • creating activities to fulfil the child’s real needs
  • understanding the need of provision of an healthy environment to support the child’s natural develop
  • working on inner peace in own life
  • supporting the child to experience inner peace – silence

It was a special time to have a coffee  with these amazing women, who were so inspired and shared many real stories of change. All participants of this celebration were blessed to be a witness  of their true love and kindness. Changes  can come in its smallest ways where ever you are. People make a change in the world starting from themselves in small areas and working with a group of children.

We are very proud of all you!  We are longing to see more of your light in  Medinat el Salam.
